Directions to Kiyomizu House

Kiyomizu House is asily accessible from overseas as well as from within Japan. 

Go to JR Takasaki Station by train or bus from Narita Airport and Haneda Airport, then it is a 25min car ride or 35min bus ride to Kiyomizu House. We can also pick you up (see below).

【Free shuttle to and from the local train station】

✔️For pick up and drop off, please let us know in advance. 

✔️For pick up, please choose either JR Annaka Haruna station for shinkansen, or JR Annaka Station for local train (Transfer at JR Takasaki Station to the Shinetsu Line towards Yokokawa. Annaka is the 3rd stop, 9 minutes) Either Renée or Motoyasu will be waiting for you at the exit gate.

✔️For drop off, we can take you to either JR Annaka Haruna Station or JR Takasaki Station

【Via train from Tokyo】

✔️Please use the Joshinetsu, Nagano, or Hokuriku shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo, and get off at Takasaki Station. You can rent a car, or take a bus or taxi. It takes 20-30 minutes.

✔️Sample routes & fares to JR Takasaki Station: Tokyo-Takasaki (Shinkansen: 50min, 5020yen. Takasaki LIne: 122min, 1980yen)  Shinjuku -Takasaki (JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line: 105min, 19800yen)

【Bus from Takasaki Station】

Gunma Bus: JR Takasaki West Exit Bus Stop #2. Towards Misato or Ikaho. Yotsuya Bus Stop (just after Maneki no Yu, 35min, 500yen). 5min walk to Kiyomizu House: Turn left at the stop light and walk straight up the road. It turns narrow and curves to the right. The 3-story house is on the right.

【By car】

If driving via expressway, you will get off the Joshinetsu expressway at the Maebashi exit, and will arrive in 15 minutes.

【Highway bus from Narita and Haneda Airports & Tokyo (Ikebukuro or Shinjuku)】

2-3 hour bus ride from Haneda Airport to Takasaki Station via Airport Limousine Bus:  Adult: 3,700 yen / Child 1,850 yen

3-hour bus ride from Narita Airport on the Azalea bus. 4,500 yen

【Tokyo (Ikebukuro Station or Shinjuku Bus Terminal)】

To avoid inner city traffic, we recommend using the Ikebukuro Station bus stop. It is just outside the cosmetic department of Seibu Department Store of Ikebukuro station.  One way (1,550 yen adults / 780 yen children). You can purchase a book of 4-one way tickets from the bus driver if available (5,580 yen adults / 2810 yen children).

If you do not have a reservation, wait until all who have reservations have boarded, then ask if there is room. Can leave suitcases outside the bus and the driver will put it in the storage compartment.
